If you like to indulge in a drink every so often, keep your cash at home if you plan to do your consuming in a brick and mortar betting house. I am serious. clean out your pocketbook, your wallet, and leave all money, bank cards and checks at home. Take just the money you are planning to use on alcohol, tips and whatever pocket coins you intend to lose and keep the remainder behind.
Pessimistic? Not really. Practical more like. You might well experience a success after a drunken evening out with your buddies and be fortunate enough to catch a 25 minute roll at a smokin’ craps table. Hold on to that story because it’s as brief as it gets if you continually drink and bet. The two simply don’t mix.
Leaving your money at home is a bit excessive, however, precautionary measures for drastic behavior is relative and necessary. If you wager to win, then don’t consume alcohol and wager. If you can manage to throw away your cash without a second thought, then drink all the free alcohol your gut can hold, but do not take debit cards and chequebooks to toss into the mix of chasing losses after your inebriated brain loses all the cash!
